Fam|ily and Fall

When the first breath of Fall is in the air what comes to mind? Is it pumpkin spice lattes, oversized sweaters, cranking up the heat and hot cocoa? Or maybe for you, could it mean that the change in seasons means it's time for new fall family photos?

The Jackson Family

For me, it is ALL. OF. THE. ABOVE.

I didn't grow up in Texas, I grew up in Upstate NY, so as soon as October hits you better break out your fabulous oversized sweaters, the dressy boots, and your favorite winter coat that matches everything, while holding your favorite latte. I may not have the deep green mountainous Adirondack scenery in my back yard anymore, but Fall in any state, especially West Texas, can be a beautiful site for sore eyes. I have to say it, West Texas was made for exactly this season. The beautiful browns, yellow greens, and reds when the leaves start to change: it seems like that's West Texas all year round.

I don't know about Ya'll (I know, the lingo is very hard to resist), but when fall hits I cannot resist the urge to redecorate my house. I just want to update my walls with new seasonal family photos, filling rooms with the beautifully colored red & orange decor and burn my favorite fall season candles all the way up to Christmas.

The Jackson Family hired me to do their annual 'Fall Mini's' and might I say, together we captured the coziness and essence of fall I dream of this time of year. That warm, sweet, happy feeling you get from looking at this photo; that is the Jackson Family every time I am around them. They are such a sweet family, an absolute joy to work with, and I am so incredibly lucky to have them as a client.
